Here is a vintage #57 Broadway
& Main Street Lamp which uses a 432C Bulb for
illumination.

Lionel 1022 Switch and Controller featuring the 432
RP & 432GP bulbs (in the controller) & either
the 1447 or 1445 clear bulbs (in the switch).

The "Big Daddy"
Here's a beautiful ZW transformer. The ZW uses (2)
#51 bulbs under those red & green lenses. Some
people like to use a #1445 18 volt instead to reduce the
potential for melting the lens covers. Since the
bulb is only powered with ~7 volts, the 18 volt bulbs
will not heat up as much, nor light as brightly.

Here's a #450 highway signal.
The highway signals use the 53RP (Red) and
53GP
(Green) bulbs. Most crossing &
banjo signals with bayonet receptacles use the Red
53RP.

Disposal Car. The 9234 & 6805 Atomic Energy
Disposal Cars both use (2ea.) #402 flasher bulbs.
These bulbs flash on their own at about 80 cycles per
minute while power is applied.
